Cedar Ridge Beagles
is a family-owned, small kennel that raises beagles as a
family activity. We have beagle puppies
for sale most months throughout the year. Our
adult Beagles have been purchased from long-time breeding
programs or have been raised here on our farm, and were selected for disposition, health, and
conformation as well as their eye appeal. We seek pet/family
or loving show homes for our puppies where they will be
spoiled and well cared for, and NEVER sell to brokers or pet
stores!
We love our beagles for the same reasons
that have made them a Top 10 Dog for decades...their
abundant love for people and gentleness with children.
Readers Digest lists them first in their Top 10 Breeds for
families with children. Squidoo web site says: "These dogs
are probably the ideal dog for any family, especially one
with small children. Beagles are good with children of all
ages."
Throughout the year, we have puppies that
range from the typical tri-colored beagle color, to reds,
lemons, chocolates, and even the rare lilac and silver/blue
colors. Some of our puppies would definitely qualify as mini
beagles (although we do not selectively breed for
miniatures), and some will become average in size.
Although we are enjoying showing our beagles, we first and foremost love them
for their loving and fun dispositions. Showing is just another way to enjoy
these wonderful family pets, but it is not the reason we have the beagles by any
means. We don't need ribbons to know our beagles are winners...they remind us
daily of the joys of living with them!

Our adult dogs have "playpens" to romp in, and enjoy playing with each other
and our children. They live on the ground, and NOT in rabbit hutches (puppy
mills often keep dogs in tiny above-ground cages...we do NOT do that). Fresh
water is available at all times, and food is also there 24/7 for everyone except
our couple that tend to get overweight. :-)
Puppies are loved daily and closely monitored for health status. By weaning,
they will typically have had all our scheduled veterinary procedures, including removal of dew
claws, first vaccination, multiple dewormings, etc. Puppies will have veterinary
health certificates just prior to being old enough to leave our home.
We ONLY have beagles, and are not a puppy mill. Our litters are
raised in people-immersed environments, and if we ever get to the point that we
can't give them individual attention, well...it will be time to stop raising
puppies. We don't sell to brokers or pet stores. We just sell to families
and individuals that want a beagle to love and be loved by.
Please don't be offended if we ask you questions about your experience with
puppies and the facilities you have for your puppy. We want to make sure our
puppies will remain with you for many years. We won't require you to guarantee
us anything other than to promise that we can feel happy, knowing that you will
be a great family for our puppy to join.
Most of the people who contact us and buy beagle puppies
are looking for a beagle because they have had one before. That tells you
something about the breed. There is
no other testimonial better than the fact that people who have had beagles want
to continue having beagles.
