Trixie
-
Born 2/15/2019.
-
Much smaller than average in size and weight
(about 12 lbs when she turned 2 years old, 12.8 lbs when she was
spayed in 2022)
-
Bi-color (tan or red and white)
-
I have more pictures on my cell phone if I can
find them. ;-)
-
Trixie was spayed in 2022, and I am open to
letting a family adopt her. My concern is that she might be hard
to potty train. She will sometimes potty inside at the door even though she
has a doggie door (mainly if the weather is really bad), so potty
training her will probably require diligence just like potty
training a young puppy. She would definitely need to be in a
crate when not being watched until you feel she can be
considered potty trained.
-
Trixie is an active girl! She sometimes
needs a bark collar to keep her from barking at our farm dogs
and farm cats. The bark collar doesn't need to shock her....I
don't think the one I use for her even works. It is just
set on vibrate mode, and not static/shock mode. In any case, she
doesn't bark if she is wearing it, and I do occasionally
recharge it just in case it sometimes vibrates if she does get
to barking. Sometimes, she doesn't even wear it, but there
are times that I do put it on her.
-
Because of the need for potty training, she
would definitely need to be in a home that believes in crate
training or has a doggie door, so she's contained while not being watched
or having outdoor access.
